Black Lace for V-Day

Mu husband bought me some black emboridered lace from Tissu for Valentine's day. He knows how to truly romance me. For our date on Friday night, I stitched the lace motives to the back of a chambray dress that I had made earlier (this could easily be done with a store bought dress as well, but you will have to be super careful around the zipper). I love how it turned out!! The motif pattern is large enough to make a big impact, but isn't super flowery. I've worn this dress about 5 times since then, and received about a million compliments on it.

The black lace is $60.50/yard, and a little accent us just perfect for any outfit!

Christmas rush

I'm back, finally!  I have been helping out Mrs Claus with a new fabulous dress and cape for Christmas!  She picked out her fabrics and we created her new look!

Isn't she beautiful!  This has to be one of my favorite projects just because it's Christmassy!  I know she is going to make all those kids happy when she's out on the town with Santa!

The Tardis Dress is still waiting for a bit.  I am excited to draft the pattern but my daughter has informed me that she has gained some weight while enjoying all that amazing chocolate and bread and yumminess of Germany.  I will start after the new year and fit later!
I was looking at a Lafayette clothing catalogue and found a new fabric I have never heard of before called "Javanese".  It is a special way the wool fibers are twisted together to create a patterned texture.  The suit looked amazing! Has anyone else heard or seen this fabric before?  I would love to get some for the shop!

That is all for now.  Back to sewing!
